Abduction Of Alan Godfrey
Are UFOs drawn to a small part of the UK?
Were aliens behind a mysterious death in Yorkshire?
What would you do if no one believed that you were abducted?
What is up, Bizarros?! This week, we dive into one of the UK’s most famous alien encounters, Alan Godfrey’s Abduction.
Alan Godfrey’s Abduction
It starts in a small town in the UK. On June 6th, 1980, Zigmund Adamski went out into the West Yorkshire countryside. He went out to go shopping, and he never came back to his home.
He was found dead 3 days later on June 9th.
He was located on top of a 10-foot pile of coal in Tormorden. Twenty miles away from his home of Tingley.
DC Alan Godfrey was sent to investigate.
He found that Adamski was in a suit, but his shirt, wallet, and watch were missing.
His hair and beard were roughly cropped and seemed to have started to grow back. Indicating he was alive while he was missing.
Godfrey also reported that Adamski had mysterious burns on his head, neck, and shoulders.
When the corner looked at the body, he confirmed that the burns were there and seemed to be treated by a strange, unidentifiable ointment.
When Godfrey spoke to reporters, he reported that aliens may have been involved, and he said, “I am open-minded,’ and “I can’t rule it out.’
After the death of Zigmund Adamski, life went back to normal for the small-town detective.
Everything was normal for 5 months. Then, in November, Godfrey was responding to the very uncommon call at 5 a.m. of cattle on the road at a housing estate.
That’s when Godfrey was stopped in his tracks. He was looking at a flying object with strange lights hovering in the middle of the road. It was bright in the sky, and the bright light was blinding Alan.
He said it was a rotating diamond-shaped ship. It was, according to Godfrey, 20 feet high and 14 feet wide.
The officer grabbed his notebook and made a quick sketch
As soon as he finished, he took his radio and found that is was dead.
That’s when there was a flash, and the object was gone, but then Godfrey noticed he was not in the same place he was. The was 30 feet up the same road.
Confused, he looked at his watch and found that 25 minutes had elapsed in the blink of an eye.
Not only that, but the officer’s boot was split open, and he had a mark on his foot that was uncontrollably itchy.
Godfrey slowly rolled his car to where he had been 25 minutes ago, and the ground in the road was dry. Dry in spite of the fact that it had been raining.
He got out of his car to look closer, and he found that the cows that he had been called out to get back in their pen were in their pen staring at him.
When he reported what happened to him, he was ridiculed. No one believed him. His friend told him to see a hypnotherapist.
When Godfrey had his hypnosis session he recounted what happened after the blinding light.
He reported that he passed out and awoke in a small room where he was being examined by several small creatures and a tall figure with bread.
Once again, no one believed him.
After weeks had gone by, Alan’s story made international headlines. Alan was called into the inspector’s office. In the inspector’s office sat a man in a black suit, and Godfrey referred to him as the “man from the ministry.”
He held a file when they met. He showed him Alan’s own drawing of the craft. That’s all he was allowed to see, but Alan assumed he had everything else.
Godfrey was made to swear on the Official Secrets Act that he would not speak to anyone else about this. Godfrey would begrudgingly agree.
Alan began to see the same agent several times over the following week. He was being followed. After several drinks at the local pub and seeing this man, Godfrey confronted him and told him to clear off. He disappeared and was never seen again.
Alan believes that this man was an MI6 agent sent to silence him.
Despite the fact that several other officers did report seeing blue lights in the sky that night, Alan was transferred because he was embarrassing the department.
He regretted having ever seen the UFO in later years because of the embarrassment it brought to his family.
However, Godfrey was not the only person to experience UFOs in Yorkshire.
Vicky Dinsdale was walking her dog when she saw a diamond-shaped object in the sky.
Godfrey went on to lose all his credibility to the public and was dismissed from his job.
When Godfrey gave an interview in 2014 to Halifax about what happened to him, he said, “This was a nuts and bolts craft, not a trick of the mind,’ ”I have never seen anything like it. I would swear on the Bible it was from somewhere else. These things have been seen so many times above Todmorden they call the area UFO alley.’
Other Reports Of Mysterious Objects In Yorkshire
Examiner live
There have been many sightings in the Yorkshire area since the Godfrey abduction.
Here are some quick stories about the unidentified flying objects.
Ellen Dean witnessed mysterious lights in her own back garden back in March 2020
‘I was amazed and intrigued,” she said. “I wanted to know more about them. What they were… if they were some kind of aircraft flying low from the RAF station. Or maybe Chinese lanterns, but they weren’t. I live in a village, so there isn’t any light pollution.” Eventually, the bizarre lights simply disappeared.
“At one location I was at a few weeks ago, we had viewed four UFOs. We knew they weren’t commercial flights because they were flying in the same path directly next to each other. And they definitely weren’t military because of the lack of noise. They were silent.” He added, “I felt like I was been watched.”
August 31st 2021, Otley
A large orange glowing ball of light around 300ft high was spotted moving north to south in a very smooth manner at around 11:30 at night.
August 28th 2021, Pontefract
Four black objects were seen in a diamond formation, traveling upwards and slowly out of view at around 8:30 at night.
June 15th 2021, Leeds
An unexplained black triangle shape was observed with no lights or noise for around five minutes at 10:12 at night.
June 12th 2021, Barnsley
A silver sausage-shaped object approximately 600ft long was spotted. It began turning black and then disappeared at around 13:36.
June 9th 2021, Leeds
Two thin, black, and curved elongated triangles were seen flying above and then stopped in mid-air at around 12:55 at night.
From the Yorkshire Post
“On September 19, 1952, at around 11 am, it is believed that a silver disc-shaped object followed a Gloster Meteor which was returning to RAF Topcliffe. Observers on the ground stated that it rotated whilst hovering before traveling in a westerly direction and at a very high speed.
This sighting is now associated with ‘Operation Mainbrace’, which was a large-scale naval operation which attracted the attention of multiple UFOs, the one being seen at Topcliffe being just one of many UFO sightings from September 14-25.”
In 1957, it was reported that a small ‘copper-bottomed flying saucer’, believed to be around 18 inches, was found on Silpho Moor, near Scarborough.
Another story from the post
“This evidence being part of a UFO was widely controversial and disputed, with many believing the copper parts originated from Earth.
However, these mysterious findings, which reports suggested contained thin copper sheets that were engraved with hieroglyphics, sparked wide intrigue.
These shards were recently found in the Science Museum archives and were then re-examined after archivists were told of their past significance.”
“In 2016, a retired West Yorkshire police officer claims he saw a UFO over Holmfirth, West Yorkshire, after he reportedly saw a triangular-shaped aircraft which glowed bright green in the dark night sky.
The man took a closer look through binoculars before reporting it to a Scholes-based UFO investigator, who then went and filmed what he also believed to be the same UFO.”
“The most recent well-known UFO sighting in Yorkshire was in September 2017. Two young stargazers saw a strange-looking orange object which moved around the sky for over two hours.
This event took place near the Ribblehead railway viaduct in the Yorkshire Dales, with the Yorkshire Dales being a place which has had numerous UFO sightings during the past decade.”
