The Spirits of Solace
This episode, we’ve got two listener submissions that are a little different from the usual… no demons clawing at you, no entities trying to drag you out of bed, just some genuinely peaceful and deeply personal encounters that somehow hit harder because of it.
First is Leona from California, who at 13 or 14 during one of the hardest periods of her life woke up frozen in sleep paralysis to find a tall, faceless figure in a wide-brimmed hat and long coat standing silently beside her bed.
But, instead of the overwhelming dread that basically every other Hat Man encounter comes with, she felt completely calm, almost like whatever it was had shown up to watch over her.
Then we dove into Tiffany’s story from New York, a self-described scientific-minded person who had a series of quiet, unexplainable moments across her life — from guessing every number correctly in a gym class game to something that happened in a tiny supply room at the Queens Museum of Art while waiting on a fax machine that left her with an answer to a question she’d been carrying since 9th grade about religion and her beliefs.
